From January to March 2011, the output of Weichai engines was 135,365 units, accounting for 12.44% of the total cumulative production of diesel engines in the country; the sales volume was 136,709 units, accounting for 11.87% of the total cumulative sales of diesel engines in the country.

In the first quarter of 2011, orders from Weichai Group were sufficient, and high-speed, high-power engines produced about 20,000 more units per month than in 2010, laying a solid foundation for the Group’s 2011 total production and sales targets. However, due to the strong demand in the construction machinery and heavy truck market in the first quarter of 2011, coupled with the high level of user recognition of Weichai engine quality, service and brand, even though the output of Weichai Group is much higher than the level of the same period in 2010, The tight supply of Weichai engine products continues.

Some industry analysts believe that the Weichai engine will usher in the sales season in the second quarter of 2011. It is expected that sales will grow strongly in the first half of 2011, and annual sales revenue will reach 73 billion yuan.
